Magic: The Gathering Is Now on Byndr
MTG collection tracking is live on Byndr. Here's what's available now, how the card data is structured, and what to expect next.

Magic: The Gathering Joins Byndr#
Byndr now supports Magic: The Gathering. You can create an MTG project, track your collection, search cards, and explore sets — powered by Scrydex card data.
What Is Available#
Card Data
MTG cards are synced from Scrydex and include the following fields:
- Name and full type line (e.g. "Legendary Creature — Elf Warrior")
- Mana cost and converted mana cost
- Colors and color identity
- Power, toughness, and loyalty (for Planeswalkers)
- Rules text
- Subtypes and supertypes
- Rarity (common, uncommon, rare, mythic, special, bonus)
- Artist
- Card number and expansion
Card images are included in full resolution.
Search
MTG cards are searchable by name across all synced sets. The Smart Search feature understands MTG-specific language: searching for "blue counterspells" or "cheap red creatures" will use Claude to expand your query into relevant card names and filters.
Rarity chips are available in the search panel for quick filtering by common, uncommon, rare, and mythic.
Exploration
MTG sets appear in the set browser. You can browse by expansion and add cards to your collection directly.
What Is Not Yet Available#
Prices: MTG price data requires a separate API call per card on Scrydex, rather than being bundled with the card sync. This would consume one credit per card — at the scale of MTG's card pool, this is a significant cost. We are evaluating whether and how to offer price tracking for MTG in a future update.
Japanese and other languages: The initial sync covers English cards only.
Sealed products: Scrydex does not currently offer a sealed products endpoint for MTG.
How to Get Started#
Create a new project and select Magic: The Gathering as the TCG. From there you can search cards, browse sets, and start tracking your collection.
